A unique and very complete controller that we had the opportunity to test in recent weeks, a period which coincided with the launch of games like Dragon Age: The Veilguard or Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Games that we enjoyed with and that this allowed us to get a precise idea: This is a great controller designed for shooters and competitive gaming.
Does this make it unplayable or make the single player experience worse with it? Obviously not, but it is clear that it is designed more for shooting games than for games of other genres. And that's not a bad thing, since he knows how to make the most of his strengths for this type of game.

The new V3 Pro is above all premium shipping and focused on the most competitive and professional audience. Its price already tells us this ($229.99), but everything in its design is focused on this superior experience. An element that stands out from the box itself, with its elegant lines, to its presentation, with its carrying case where we will find everything we need.
Beyond the controller, we will find the 3m connection cable, the Hyperspeed Wireless USB key to connect and play wirelessly and two complementary joysticks (one concave and one convex) to exchange with those who already come on the controller. It's all conveniently located and easy to remove, so it'll only take a few seconds to be ready to play.
The wireless connection is a real joy. Yes, you have to give up one of the three USB ports on the Xbox Series. And if anyone doubts possible input lag or delay during playback, you can erase that idea from your head. During our gaming sessions we hardly noticed any type of lag, quite the contrary. And if you're a PC gamer, you always have the option to enable the Tournament mode which increases the polling rate by 1000 Hz and can be activated via the Razer Controller app. Of course, only if you connect the Wolverine V3 Pro via cable.
Speaking of Razer Controller application, this allows us to control everything related to the configuration of the controller. From configuring the rear levers the way we want, to increasing or decreasing the control light. You can also calibrate the dead zones, the functions of each button and create specific profiles depending on the game. All this from the application, also available on Xbox and very easy to use.
An ideal option for adjust the role of each lever and place it as you wishwhich makes it much easier to perform certain actions depending on the games. For example, in our case it was more effective with Call of Duty, being able to adjust the ABXY buttons to each lever in a logical sequence for us, allowing us not to let go of the joystick at any time. In other games, like Metaphor: ReFantazio, although it was not as effective due to the characteristics of the game, it allowed us to perform certain actions more quickly. And all of this was pre-configured and saved in two different profiles for quick and efficient switching as you moved from one game to another.
But the personalization stops there and it is the only thing that can be said about the Wolverine V3 Pro, because in terms of physical customization options it is very limited. You can only change the joysticks with the two spare parts provided (it would have been nice if there were more options, like longer levers), but there is no possibility to modify the crossbar or the rear levers.
As for ergonomics, we can talk about a perfect controller, which can adapt to any type of hand. Access to all buttons is quick and easy the same layout as official Xbox controllers. A common characteristic but not the only one, such as weight or height, very similar between the two and with practically imperceptible changes.
Where we perhaps notice the most difference is in the buttons, joysticks and crosspiece. It has a slightly better touch and a much nicer feeling when pressed.. It is true that the crossbar is difficult to use at first because it requires a mouse click, but it is very effective. This technology is also carried to the triggers, where in those at the top we find two modes of action. One with a wide path, while if we move the tab over it, we can activate their mouse click, making the path much smaller. It also includes two other buttons located between the upper and lower triggers, fully customizable in the same way as the rear levers.
Some levers he has ideal positioning for the fingers with which they are to be used. There is no need to vary the position of the hands or the type of grip to adapt, since they are placed in very natural places. In addition, its mouse click allows very fast activation, being very sensitive.
My conclusion: this is a practically perfect controller
In the end, the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro is a very well thought out and designed controller whose only fault is the low level of physical customization. Apart from that, we find a very interesting option for competitive or professional players, but which will also appeal to any other player.
Equipped with great autonomy, a good wireless connection and very complete customization of buttons and actions, the Wolverine V3 Pro is undoubtedly one of the best controllers available on the market.
