The title taking place in a fantastic American West brings the concepts together brilliantly.
An “unknown” developer Wolfeye Studioswith Raphael Colantonio (founder and former artistic director of Studio Arkane) and Julien Roby (former executive producer of Arkane Studios) at the helm have created something wonderful without bragging about it. Weird West, is as its title suggests, an unknown (literal translation of Bizarre) in the video game industry. This title arrived without pretensions. Without a massive advertising campaign behind it and with little media impact, but believe me it’s not necessary.
weird west It is, in a nutshell, a little gem that brings together concepts from many other games. Without inventing anything, but making sure that everything works perfectly or almost. We have often seen in the world of video games how they tried to mix everything that worked in many other titles into one title. The result was mostly a Molotov cocktail which explodes in the face of the developers. With the experience behind them, as creators of games like Dishonored the PreyThe team of Weird West triumphed with this title, but let’s see why.
Weird Weird West.
Weird West is the story of a farmer’s wife Jane Bell, who lives peacefully with her husband and children on their ranch. Yet one day the calm waters, a gang of alcohol and arms traffickers kidnaps her husband and kills her son. From there, the story begins to leave us with many unknowns to solve. Why do the Stillwaters kidnap people, why do they leave with bags over their heads, what is this mark that crosses Jane Bell’s face and which she herself does not know where it comes from? Our protagonist will dig up his old weapons and bounty hunters to explore this strange west full of fantastic creatures, myths, legends and lots of darkness.
Here is the video analysis:
Weird West is a game with a lot of depth, a lot content and variety. Nothing match will be the same as another. We can deal with situations in many ways and it will take time to analyze them. The scarcity of resources, the setting and the bandaged Sonora plunges us into an authentic western adventure. the match made me lose track of time every time I sat down in front of the TV.
Wolfeye has made a game with his own identity, a little gem that will undoubtedly be talked about a lot.
