A few weeks ago we shared with you the first news that clearly left the future of the WWE 2K saga. This year's match has not been the commercial success the company had hoped for and its poor sales seem to have been a clear reason for Takeha-Mbili to take over the saga and WWE 2K21 has not launched this year.
WWE 2K20 has been unacceptably received by the public and the special media due to various flaws and problems the game presented during its launch. With various updates the game has improved in part, but it's too late to be able to save it commercially.
Will there finally be a WWE 2K21?
Originally the 2K Games would lower the original budget for WWE 2K21 development, but it finally looked like the cancellation would be the company's preferred strategy as confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of W Fightful.com in a message on social media after he had confirmation from the WWE organization.

We hope that soon thats-Two or 2K Games will be officially negotiated if the cancellation of this extension ends due to the low acceptance of WWE 2K20 or for other reasons based on the current global health crisis.
