Today we’re excited to officially unveil the third and final sneaker as part of Xbox 20that Anniversary collaboration, the adidas Forum Tech Boost, the first Xbox sneaker available worldwide.
The design is inspired by the fastest, most powerful Xbox console ever, the Xbox Series X.
As with any great design, it’s all about the details, so we started with the Forum Tech Boost, a shoe that draws heavily on the past while incorporating the very latest in Boost technology. The design is a nod to Xbox Series X, a platform to experience 20 years of Xbox while advancing technology to deliver the ultimate gaming experience. The inside of the shoe is draped in a black mesh in front of a green liner and is reminiscent of the iconic green ventilation openings of the Xbox Series X. The sneaker also contains our modern Xbox Sphere logo with subtle highlights around our console power button and the elegant Style of the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller.
In order to pay homage to our anniversary in a unique way, we took additional design inspiration from the Xbox 20that Anniversary wireless controller special edition. The shoe mirrors the controller’s handles and has a green heel and a translucent sole that pulls straight out of the controller’s shell. And as the finishing touch to celebrate that moment, there’s a tiny Xbox 20that Anniversary logo hidden on the insole.
Overall, we wanted to create a shoe that holds a moment, but also feels timeless. This is a shoe that is meant to be played in, worn and enjoyed by our community – one that is always played and never played out.
The adidas Forum Tech Boost is available for $ 140 in partner stores worldwide and on adidas.com. For more details, Visit the adidas website here.
