Project Maverick could be a PvP shooter that People Can Fly is developing for Microsoft.
Since last year, People Can Fly has been developing a game called “Project Maverick” for which Microsoft was able to win over as a financier and publisher. The budget should be between 30 and 50 million dollars.
So far there has been no information about what kind of game People Can Fly developed for Microsoft.
As is often the case, job advertisements provide possible clues as to what to expect.
Project Maverick may be a PvP shooter. This suggests that there is an open position for a senior level designer, as this work requires experience in designing PvP maps.
Of course, a PvE mode is not immediately ruled out.
The question of which existing IP you are working on also remains open. With the Gears offshoot Gears of War: Judgment you at least already have experience with an existing brand.
But People Can Fly isn’t just working on Maverick. In September 2022, we reported that seven projects were in development.
