Xbox Game Studios well represented in the Steam Top Earnings Rankings

The year 2021 is drawing to a close and many stores are taking stock of the best results of the year. This is particularly the case with Steam, which lists the games that generated the most revenue in the calendar year. And if we could think that the availability of titles released by Xbox Game Studios in PC Game Pass would hold back sales, this ranking proves that it is nowhere near the case.

Age-of-Empires-IV-Cover-MS

4 new releases rising to the top of the rankings

While now all Xbox Game Studios games except Death loop Due to the deals with Sony once they are posted on Xbox Game Pass, this clearly hasn’t stopped players from buying them on Steam. These are four titles that are among the new products that have had the most sales in this business this year:

  • Death loop
  • Forza Horizon 5
  • Halo infinite
  • Age of Empire IV

Very good performance for the last three games, which we recall, were released between October 28th and December 8th.

Consistently top sales for Xbox Game Studios

We find even more titles from Microsoft in the world’s top 100 top-selling games of the year. Whether classic Xbox Game Studios or ZeniMax Media Studios, which joined Xbox in March, all indicators are green. Here are their games in this leaderboard:

  • Forza Horizon 5
  • Forza Horizon 4
  • Sea of thieves
  • The Elder Scrolls Online
  • Halo infinite
  • Age of Empires IV
  • Age of Empires II Definitive Edition
  • Microsoft flight simulator
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
  • Fallout 4
  • Hello MCC
  • Fallout 76
  • Downfall forever

Sales that have to justify Microsoft’s decision to demonstrably offer its games on Steam in addition to the Microsoft Store Sea of thieves which recently passed the 5 million player mark on the Valve platform alone.
