New features of Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha
Development of a Guide
We are excited to announce a new simplified guide! The modified structure is available for a subset of Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha users starting today. This test introduces improvements to the Administrative tabs giving users access to Party and text discussions, and required settings and features that have a profile and program. The default tab order opens a tabbed guide in the left-to-right configuration. You can customize these as you like from the Profile and System tab.
Groups and discussions – Skip messages, interact with invitations, and start the party all from this integrated tab. Groups and discussions connect you fast!
Profile and system – This tab now has settings, audio, customization, and power options in addition to your user and profile changes. In the middle of the game and need to make a quick change? You can now do that from the Profile and System tab!
Additional Administrative Changes
App and system alerts now show under the bell icon and other alerts when you open the Guide – you no longer need to go to a separate tab to find out what's new!
Want Group can now be found in the People tab next to the "Find someone" option.

My Games and Apps
Repairs to this building solve problems with your specific topics that don't show up in your collection.
Users should now see the empty review line after everything has been installed.
The system
To reduce user confusion, change the names of shortcut icons in the Guide from "Program options" to "Multiple options"
Various revisions to display in local languages properly console.
Known Issues Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha
We understand that some issues are listed in the previous Xbox Insider Release. These problems are ignored, but it will take Xbox developers more time to find a solution. Thanks for your patience this time!
The sound
Users with Dolby Atmos enabled and display display settings set to 120hz at 36 bits per pixel (12-bit) suffer Dolby Atmos audio loss in some cases.
Working
: Disable 120hz or set Video Fidelity to 30 bits per pixel (10-bit) or less.
Home
Users who use Energy saving mode can see a dashboard that does not show network connection to the boot. We are aware of the issue and are investigating.
Note: The dashboard will refresh once the network connection is established, but may take a minute.
My Games and Apps
Users reported seeing dark tiles instead of game art when looking at their collection.
Some titles in the collection may appear with the "trial" tag incorrectly in the collection.
Social networking sites
Users reported that they were unable to connect to the network where the password had space to follow.
Workaround: Use a different network password without that character.
Color profile
Sometimes users may encounter an incorrect Profile color when enabling the console.
