Currently, Baldur’s Gate 3 players on Xbox may lose their save status, but a fix is in the works.
A nasty bug is currently causing trouble in Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox, which can cause players to lose their saved game.
Xbox and the developers are aware of the problem and are working quickly on a solution.
To avoid the issue, the current recommendation is to save the game and then return to the Xbox dashboard and select “Quit” or “Save to Quick Resume” from the game menu via Home > Game > Select if you want to exit the game.
The console should still not be unplugged, but should be shut down normally.
Our Thoridias has a possible workaround for you. Use at your own risk:
“We had a small problem with the Bladurs Gate 3 save game problems in the stream earlier. I started the game and then activated cross save out of curiosity. This caused the game to crash and could no longer be started. There was a crash to the dashboard every time I started it, at the latest after the NVIDIA logo.”
“Deleted save games on the Xbox and started them again. Same problem after cloud sync. So the settings were already saved in the cloud.”
“I tried everything and nothing helped. Then I had the idea to log in to the Larian Studios website and separate my Xbox account from the Larian account. And Zack started the game again and all the saves were there too.”
