It was in the spring when the Honor Play 5 was leaked and now, almost at the end of the year, the Asian automaker has announced the Honor Play 5 Vitality Edition, a model that competes in the range of affordable terminals and where stands out the screen supporting 120 Hz and charging at 66 watts.
The Honor Play5 Vitality Edition is a terminal that already offers design differences compared to the Honor Play 5. The front camera is now perforated instead of drop type and is located on one side, while the rear camera module is more square and is located on the front. Triple camera, new processor and fast charging
The Honor Play 5 Vitality Edition arrives with improvements in the processor, where the Dimensity 800U gives way to the Dimensity 900. A processor accompanied by 8 GB of RAM with support for virtual RAM expansion up to 2 GB. It has a storage capacity of 128 GB or 256 GB and a Turbo X GPU.
The Play 5 Vitality Edition is built around a 6.67-inch LCD screen and a front coverage rate of 94.4%. The screen offers FullHD + resolution and supports 120Hz and DCI-P3 coverage.
As for the cameras, it uses a front camera punched into the screen and located in the upper left corner with a resolution of 16 megapixels. In the rear cameras we find a triple camera module
The Honor Play 5 Vitality Edition uses Android 11 as its operating system with the Magic UI 4.2 customization layer. The battery is 4,300 mAH, with charging via USB Type C with up to 66 watts which achieves 50% of the charge in 15 minutes.
The Honor Play 5 Vitality Edition has a fingerprint scanner on the side button, allows the use of 5G networks, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C, GPS, Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n / ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz).
Pricing and availability
The Honor Play 5 Vitality Edition arrives in color Aurora Blue and Midnight Black. The model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB will be priced at 1,799 yuan, around 243 dollars to change while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model will arrive for 1,999 yuan which will be around 286 dollars to change. It will hit the market from November 1 in China.
