Like the Apple Watch, the new AirPods Max also have a feature-laden digital crown to optimize device usage. And is that thanks to these buttons it is possible to perform actions such as adjusting the volume, controlling playback, handling calls, calling Siri and more.
Since it runs on Apple’s signature smartwatch, the digital crown might not look like much, but despite its small size, it has proven that it can do smart things with just one rotary knob. We tell you how below:
Enjoy the digital crown of AirPods Max
Adjust the volume: With the digital crown we can access one of the most frequent actions when we use a helmet. To do this, we simply need the crown to increase or decrease it. By default, turning clockwise will increase the media volume and turning counterclockwise will decrease it. However, you can reverse this setting by following these steps:
- Make sure the AirPods Max is paired with iPhone or iPad.
- Open the app Setting.
- Go to option Bluetooth.
- Press the button I junto an AirPods Max.
- To touch Digital crown.
- Under Turn up volume, choose Rear to front or Front to back.
Crowned eliminates the need to adjust the volume on your iPhone, iPad or Mac, which is very useful when you are on the move and your devices are not easily accessible.
Control media playback: The Digital Crown is not only useful for producing one at a time, but you can also use it to skip tracks. Just double tap to go forward and triple tap to rewind.
Ask Siri: Usually, Siri can be summoned without any button on AirPods Max by saying the command “Hey Siri”. But, if for some reason that doesn’t work, you can grab Siri’s attention manually by pressing and holding the digital crown.
Handle calls: With AirPods Max, you don’t have to take your iPhone out of your pocket to answer a call. You will simply need to press the digital crown on AirPods Max once to answer the call or double-tap to reject it.
When it comes to a second call while talking on the iPhone
For reject a second incoming callSimply press and hold the Digital Crown. And while you have an active call, once it’s answered, double-tap the digital crown to send it from AirPods Max to iPhone.
If AirPods Max was the gift you received, or if you wanted to give yourself to start a new year, feel free to try these steps and make the most of their settings.
