Apple has added many features in iOS 16 and there are 5 basic settings that we should all have enabled on our iPhone.
Apple has released many new features in iOS 16, among which the new lock screen stands out above all. However, there are other many hidden settings in the new OS that you need to know and enable. Settings that improve the functionality or increase the security of your iPhone.
1. Show battery percentage on icon

- Enter the Settings from the iPhone.

2. Set Mail Send Undo Time
In iOS 16 we have the option to unsend an email from the Mail app. If we made a mistake or if we sent an incomplete email, you can cancel the sending to modify it. However, we only have one time to do so, which we can modify.
- Come into Settings of you iPhone.
- Scroll down and tap on the section Mail.
- Scroll down and go to Deadline to cancel sending.
- Choose between 10, 20 or 30 secondsor if you want to deactivate the function.
3. Change the notification display style
Notifications in iOS have evolved in recent years and in iOS 16 we have a new way to display them on the lock screen, in particular we have 3 different shapes
- Count: only a number will appear at the bottom with the notifications that we have pending, touching them all will appear.
- Band: With this option, notifications will be grouped by applications, appearing one after the other.
- Listing: This is the classic view, all notifications in chronological order.
4. Enable keyboard vibration
The the keyboard can now have vibrations it will make you “feel” when you press a key, which many users may like. These seven confirmation vibrations can be activated by following these steps:
- Enter the iPhone Settings.
- Press on sounds and vibrations.
- Now press keyboard response.
- turn on the switch Vibration.
5. Protect your activity in Mail
Apple added a new privacy feature for messaging app which hides our IP address and downloads remote content privately, making it difficult to obtain information about your Mail activity.
The “Protect Activity in Mail” feature helps protect your privacy by preventing email senders, including Apple, from learning about your activity in the Mail app.
- On your iPhone, enter the Settings.
- Scroll down and tap on the section Mail.
- Press on privacy protection.
- Enable the Protect activity switch in Mail.
