Let's be honest: WWDC 2025 is unlikely to pass through history as the biggest events of an Apple ever, as I warned in a separate article. The company should not really continue with new plans until it ends the cleaning of non-livers from last year, and the current and not treated failures of Siri and Apple Intelligence will lean the procedure as a bad smell.
But even the dullest Apple event can usually be invoked to deliver a few jewels … And after all, it is WWDC, the second main link of the year. Here are the seven things I can't wait to see at WWDC 2025:
1. an iPhone feature that I will really use
With apologies to Mac and Apple Watch owners, IOS is the main WWDC event. This year's update promises certain major changes, including significant accessibility features and an interface overhaul, which already inspires positive and negative feelings. But a much greater change will occur under the hood.
The reports indicate that iOS 19 will include a new mode of preserving batteries fueled by AI, which will analyze the models of use to reduce moments of power at times or in applications where it will not have an impact on your experience, and thus extend the life of the battery at a minimum cost. In addition, the locking screen will finally show the amount of time that remains until your phone is fully loaded. Forget Genmoji: This is how AI can really make a difference in the life of users.
2. Apple Intelligence where it belongs
I am a little tired to hear about the Apple Intelligence: its supposed triumphs (from Apple) and its many faults (of everyone). Unfortunately, this year's WWDC is sure of the same thing, and we will have to prepare for this. But there is an aspect of the Apple Intelligence I am Excited to know more, and this is its late beginnings on the Apple Watch.
Experts predict that the Watchos 12 update will see Apple's AI platform on the Apple Watch platform, which in my opinion for a long time is its natural house. The small screen of the watch means that new generation messaging and voice control would be transformers, rather than a good option, while its wrist position makes it perfectly placed to be a virtual assistant.
Until now, the main obstacle to the Apple Watch joining the AI part has been the comparative lack of processing power, and the new models to come in the fall are unlikely to change this. But according to Bloomberg journalist, Mark Gurman, Watchos 12 will see the Apple Watch outsourcing AI work on an iPhone nearby, which is a Smart Stopgap solution until the equipment is caught up.
3. Babel fish becomes a reality
The technological industry has long been fascinated by the Babel Fish, a fictitious creature which, in the Douglas Adams' Hoofing guide The novels are in a person's ear and allows them to understand any language. If only the Babel fish were real. Well, this is – Thank you for wireless headphones with live translation software.
Google has been offering this combination for years: pixel buds (or even other headphones associated with the Google Translate application) were capable of it in 2017, although with many drawbacks. But we are delighted to see Apple's attempt, which should be launched later this year as part of iOS 19 and an update of the AirPods firmware.
It is not clear if this feature will be available in the first versions of iOS 19, but we would be very surprised if Apple does not overthrow certain WWDC details in June.

4. The most powerful Mac ever made
WWDC is known as a software event. But when Apple decides to launch equipment in June, it does not spoil. It unrolls the big guns.
The Mac Pro, The Premium Deluxe Offering in Apple's Mac Line-Up, was last updated two years ago: that was the m2 ultra model, announced at wwdc 2023. It's slower than the mac studio and not all that faster than the maxxed-out MacBook Pro, Should feature an M4 Ultra Chip or Something Higher We have seen before, Outclassing Even the M4 Max MacBook Pro and Mac Studio Models that currently sit at the top of the range. The Mac Pro is the model to provide unrivaled power to creative professional users that Apple has sometimes neglected, so saving it for a large entrance to WWDC makes sense.
The Mac Pro is not updated as often as the other Apple products, and it is possible to wait later in 2025. But if the M4 Ultra Mac Pro presents itself at WWDC, it will be instantly the star of the show.
5. The new Mac vision
Speaking of the Mac… Apple is certain to announce MacOS 16 at WWDC 2025, and like iOS 19, it should include a completely redesigned interface. Sources suggest that MacOS will take its visual pro Vision clues, the Revolutionary Helmet of Apple mixed re -evaluation, while the company seeks to carry out more coherent user interface on all platforms. It will be fascinating to see how this merger between the oldest and the youngest products of Apple is shaking up.

6. News on the new Siri
Without doubt the weakest element of the Apple ecosystem, and certainly its deepest failure, is the lamentable vocal assistant Siri lamentable. Amazing 14 years after its launch with the iPhone 4S, Siri shows no sign of improving and sometimes seems to get worse.
During the WWDC of last year, Apple promised to repair Siri by deploying the magic of Apple Intelligence. But the arrival of the new Siri propelled by AI continues to be delayed; He did not appear in the iOS 18.4 update of March as planned, or even in iOS 18.5 of May. Hopefully Apple will have news for us in June, because Siri really needs to improve in his work.
And although we are on Siri's painful subject, we appreciate certain announcements (preferably realistic) on the version of Siri After The new one: the “real modernized conversational version” which is also known as LLM Siri. The new Siri was supposed to be part of iOS 18, and LLM Siri is part of iOS 19, but delays are made up of delays and all continues to reproduce. I am delighted to see these improvements, Apple, but let us know what is going on.
7. Honesty
And that brings me to the only thing I want most of WWDC25: pure and not filtered honesty on the state of the game in Cupertino. What's wrong since last year? Why have so many projects have been delayed? And is Apple Intelligence really as far behind the other platforms of AI as it seems to be?
It may seem like a long desperate blow. The truth during a marketing event, what a fanciful notion! But Apple has a certain form here. When apple cards have suffered disastrous dentition pain, Apple admitted it and apologized. When creation professionals have been neglected, as I mentioned earlier, Apple admitted and apologized. There is a chance, although slim, that we will get a kind of MEA CULPA at WWDC.
Each company makes mistakes. Announced Apple Intelligence long before it was ready, then sell iPhone 16 handsets at the rear of the features that were not launched at the time of the iPhone 17, was a big one, but it does not have to ruin Apple's reputation. The remedy is honesty. Explain what was wrong and why. Then, be completely transparent on the features that will be really ready in time for the iPhone 17. Confidence will come back – but not if the spin and the fanfaron continue.
This is my list of wishes for WWDC 2025. Join us on June 9 to see how Apple offers and read our coverage of all ads.
