There is life after the season finale (and what a finale!) Of “For All Mankind”. We come back one more Friday to report the latest news and updates from Apple’s film and series catalog, so let’s not waste any more time and let’s go with them.
‘Physical’, ‘1971’ and ‘Schmigadoon’ as musical bets of the year
Announcement of the Week is the trailer for ‘Physical‘, a new series in which we will see Rose Byrne play a housewife who wants to try her luck with aerobics in the mid-80s. Just because of the music, it already looks like it’s going to be one of those series that she’s going to make; playlists from the eighties are resurfacing. “ Physique ” will premiere on June 18.
We also have the official announcement from Apple about ‘1971‘, a documentary series that will explain why this year was the year that music changed forever and influenced the culture and even the politics of the time. The first episodes of this anthology can be seen starting May 21.
The most recent thing we have seen announced is’Schmigadoon‘, a series that will parody the great musicals of history involving itself in the story of a couple who find a city where everything works like in the musicals of the 40s. It will star Keegan-Michael Key and Cecily Strong, and we’ll see July 16 on our devices.
As of yet, there is no news of any new signings or new series this week, although the recently celebrated Oscar gala should be highlighted. Apple TV + had two nominations: “Greyhound” for Best Sound and “Wolfwalkers” for Best Animated Feature. Finally, none of these nominations have been awarded.
Remember that for this weekend you have available on Apple TV + the first three chapters of ‘Mosquito Coast‘with Justin Theroux. Good entertainment if the rain or laziness has caught you off guard.
