Depending on the headphones you have, their maximum volume may vary depending on their manufacturer and quality. And it’s not uncommon to see that with some inexpensive headphones the maximum volume leaves something to be desired and take less power in noisy environments. And of course, not everyone has the active noise cancellation found in AirPods and other high-end headphones.
The iPhone can’t boost the power the headphones physically support, obviously, but there are a few tricks up their sleeve that can be done via software
The accessibility of iOS has its advantages also when listening to music

It turns out that in iOS 16 there is a hidden option in the system accessibility settings, with which we can artificially increase the audio of the headphones. TikTok user nuriared posted it in the video you can see above, along with some steps you can also see below.
Just open the Settings app and go to the “Accessibility” section:
There, enter ‘Audio/Visual’:
Once inside, click on “Headset settings”:
Finally, enable the first option called “Headset Settings”. You will see that sound boost option with light, moderate and loud levels will appear. Pick one of these levels and try listening to some music while you do it to see if you notice a difference. The effect applies to all audio files you hear, not just music apps or services.
I tested with my AirPods 2 and noticed a slight increase in volume with each level, but beware: you may cause audio distortion if you turn up the power too much.
Also note that the iPhone itself will warn you if you are playing your music at too high a volume, warning you that in the long term you risk having hearing damage via the Health application. You can try to reduce the volume of some headphones that do not have enough juicebut the ideal is to try to enjoy your favorite songs at a volume that is not too loud.
