Known for building some of smart speakers with the best audio quality on the market, Sonos In recent years it has been one of the leading companies in the industry, much thanks to the models of this series One Sonos, installed by Google Assistant. Now Sonos has decided to sue Google.
As they point out The New York Times, a company specializing in audio to include not one but two cases variants that cover the five identities in the design of your wireless speakers. They blame Google for having it stolen technology when a company led by Sundar Pichai acquired it in 2013 through an agreement with Sonic, which will allow its speakers to support the Google Play Music app.
The document clarifies that Google could have used this patented technology again – supposedly stolen to improve its Chromecast audio system – now it's gone –. Demand means technology for "More room" audio, which is used later for several years gadgets from Google, including Google Home speakers and Pixel series devices.
Sonos is calling for a ban on the sale of United States Devices to the United States
In addition to the two documents demanded by employees, Sonos also requested through the International Trade Commission that the sale of all Google devices likely to use this stolen technology would be prohibited. They will combine Pixel phones and Pixelbook computers
Sonos also expresses th at Google was told often about the abuse
But there is more. The audio company claims that Google has tried to thwart its offering efforts several simultaneous voice assistants on their devices, provided that Google has threatened the company by "removing its assistant from product speakers when it appears next to a key competitor" such as Amazon Alexa.
And speaking of Amazon, personally Sonos says Jeff Bezos's company has also made various disruptions for infringing its patents on Echo devices, even though the firm has decided not to file a lawsuit even though it is not ready to compete against two giants of the same kind.
In the meantime, neither Amazon nor Google talked about it. We will update this article with any information about it.
