We all know that playing sports is good. It is therefore practical for us to practice it too. However, it is difficult to find enough will to Be regular and take a habit in our routine. This is exactly what happened to me a few years ago.
There were up to three fundamental factors for that: having stopped smoking, having back pain and finding the ideal application for my routines. And no, I'm not talking about a specialized application that shows our progress and has a multitude of interesting functions. In my case This helped me with simple but useful “reminders” of Apple.. And only with a recurring reminder.
The satisfaction of finishing tasks in “Reminders”

Integrating the exercise as an additional task on my list of things to do every day has undoubtedly been the key to finally becoming a habit I cannot or want to escape. The first is that, as stupid as it may seem, I have become addicted to the feeling of satisfaction that the accomplishment of tasks providesWhether it is as simple as installing a washing machine or something more demanding like exercising.
And that's it For years, it was an activity that I stopped. First of all because I forgot it or simply when I remembered it I thought it was not the right time and that if it meant tomorrow (and it was never true). Then, I made what was a mistake for me, that is to say download very complete sports applications which, far from motivating me, contained so much information that they saturated me and ended up not being useful.
From now on, I just have to add a reminder to exercise in the “Reminders” application. I see it every day around 6:20 am, being My first task of the day And by repeating from Monday to Friday. At that time, I start a routine which includes “only” a walk of at least 20 to 30 minutes (about 2.5 km) and, back home, some squats, pull-ups and weight. Nothing that would tire me too much, but enough that I have to shower afterwards.
The importance of not overmovating
And here are two keys. The first Use an element that reminds you that you must do it. In my case, the 'reminders' application on iPhone, I already said that it was the most practical because of its simplicity, even if of course, the main thing is to find something that adapts to Our situation, which is comfortable for us and that we know that it is not we who will ignore it.
Behind all this hides a second key, which is Do not be too motivated (in all respects). I mean, there are excellent applications for sport, but in the end, if it is not something that really motivates us, that we understand and that we have enough patience to understand, it will end up being impractical .
I also apply this excess motivation to want to start too hardBecause in addition to generating unnecessary pain, it ends up demotivating as soon as it starts because of the strong physical and mental requirements. My routine was very progressive, since I started with walks and a little exercise at home which did not exceed a few weights. Little by little, I added more elements and put the series online.
Actually, I have another reminder defined for progress. Every three weeks, there is one called “to increase the series” and with which I already write that in the following weeks I have to increase the number of repetitions or add new exercises. Each time it takes me more time and therefore also a more complete training, but it is ideal for it to be a shock from the start and that we end up stopping it.
Of course, it is also important find the right time in the routine. In my case, I don't mind get up earlier and in the morning is a good time, but in the end each person is different. It is therefore interesting to stop for a moment and analyze our routine, trying to find the moments when it suits us physically and mentally to exercise. And above all, that it can be scalable and that what can take you a few minutes at the start, over time, can mean at least 45 to 60 minutes of daily exercise.
