Android 13 is already official but betas continue in the form of Android 13 QPR1, a preview of the news that will come later through Feature Drops. The first QPR1 beta of Android 13 brings us an interesting novelty that we will soon have in Android 13: battery health.
If you want know if the battery of your mobile is in good condition, this is something that is not part of Android, but you will only find it in certain layers. Now Google will finally include it in Android 13 and we have a first look at what it will look like, via Mishaal Rahman
Battery information in Android 13
Google is preparing a More complete information about Android battery status. It is part of Android 13, although it is not the version of the operating system that was released a few months ago, but will arrive later via a future update.
Before this update reaches all users, it can be tested through QPR betas (Quarterly platform publications
As the name suggests, this new Android battery settings submenu will tell us mobile battery health status, with a simple summary graph and apparently four states to mark the degradation -or not- of our battery. Depending on the state of our battery, we will receive different recommendations on what we can do. For example, if the battery is in very bad condition, it is suggested to consider changing it.
Also included are some health factors this can affect battery health like capacity and condition, although we’re still not sure exactly what information will be displayed when you touch these sections.
Battery status is common across many devices and operating systems, but Android does not show it officially and universally. Instead, some layers of Android have decided to include data on their own, while still being possible through apps. Arriving in theory with the next quarterly update, it is very likely that it will become a kind of series at least from Android 14.
