An apple company recently announced that it has formed a partnership with Google approving the use of Bluetooth technology help governments and health organizations reduce the spread of the virus, protecting user privacy and security.
According to the official statement, companies will introduce a comprehensive solution that includes interactive application programming (API) and operating system technology. to help enable connection tracking
Since COVID-19 can be transmitted by approaching affected people, public health officials have pointed to communication as an important tool
The purpose of the solution will come out of the merger between the two companies, to enable mobile devices exchange information over Bluetooth communication, alerting people when they are near someone who is diagnosed with COVID-19.
The technology will be available in May
Given the urgent need, companies aim to implement this solution in two steps, while maintaining strong security around user privacy. First, in May Apple and Google will launch an API that will allow interaction between Android and iOS devices, using programs from government health authorities.
These official apps will be available for users to download from their application stores.
