Apple chooses a foldable iPhone “shell”

IPhone Fold

One of the things the people of Cupertino hate is that they are forced to launch products because the market decides. For example, the headaches and the money they had to invest, buy an entire section of Intel, just so that iPhone 12 be 5G, and not be left behind in the new generation mobile market.

And I think something similar is happening with the future foldable iphone. The idea did not come from Apple Park, but they are already in tow from other companies that have already launched their foldable smartphones. The project continues, and it looks like it will be a “shell” type.

Forced by the market trend, Apple continues its foldable iPhone project. They won’t be in a hurry, and prefer to test the waters with foldable smartphones from other brands already on the market.

I guess they are cautiously waiting to see the market reaction to these devices. They are expensive and somewhat fragile, and in the end they don’t appeal to the consumer very much and they don’t end up establishing themselves in the market, and their sales are residual.

Sometimes a new trend of the latest technology, for various reasons, is not accepted by consumers and disappears from the market. Proof of this would be the 3D glasses on televisions, or the curved screen televisions.

If so, Apple would park its foldable iPhone project, and it would be stored in a drawer. For now, they continue with him. A few weeks ago, he reported that two specific prototypes had passed all durability tests. now it’s just a leak the “shell” type model was chosen

to continue the project.

Jon Prosser, popular Apple leaker and owner of Front Page Tech YouTube channel, says that after the first successful round of testing, Apple will focus all of its development on the shell-style iPhone like the Samsung galaxy z flip.

What is clear is that the company is not rushing to launch its foldable iPhone. Its high price and durability are two compelling reasons not to rush. It will take a long time to see if finally the “IPhone Fold“Becomes reality, or not …
