Apple clarifies details of AirPods Max battery consumption

Los AirPods Max They do not bring a button that serves to deactivate them, that is to say, they still work in a relatively surprising way. The truth is, I’m not quite sure what it would cost Apple to include a stop button or just insert it into the digital crown that the earphones already have, but hey, otherwise it’s not Apple.

Apple has educated users more clearly on how the AirPods Max case works and how it consumes battery. We leave you some surprising details on this latest information shared by the Cupertino company.

In short, this is how the battery of the AirPods Max when we work with them:

  • When AirPods Max are idle and placed on a surface for more than five minutes, they automatically go into low battery mode to conserve battery power.
  • When the AirPods Max is idle for 72 hours, the headphones will go into a more extreme low power mode that will even turn off Bluetooth and its features. Look for to improve the autonomy performance if possible.

As you can see, the fact that we have to put the AirPods Max in their case every time we stop using them doesn’t seem so necessary if we want to maximize the battery life of the headphones, however, I still believe that Apple could have chosen to introduce a slider, like the iPhone for example, to turn off the headphones. However, it seems they decided to bet everything on the Digital Crown which clearly makes things more complex, and this out of ignorance (because I have not tried them) I find this a solution too drastic and difficult to justify for headphones.
