AirTags have become one more Apple product that is increasingly seen on the streets. It is an accessory that allows its location via the Find My network which generates the interconnection of all the products of the Big Apple between them. Using this network, the AirTag can send notifications to people nearby and make it easier for the owner to retrieve the accessory. However, AirTags can also be used maliciously and that’s what Apple wants to avoid after the addition of anti-tracking features in iOS 15.4 beta 4.
iOS 15.4 includes anti-tracking changes for AirTags
Apple found one of the AirTag issues: can be used for malicious purposes to track people and/or objects without permission. This caused Cupertino to get to work designing tools, modifications and new options to avoid this problem. For it, in iOS 15.4 beta 4, it is informed of the illegality of tracking without consent by a first notification:
You can locate this element using Find my.
Using this item to track people without their consent is a crime in many parts of the world.
Th is item is designed to be detected by victims and allow law enforcement to request identifying information about the owner.

In other words, Apple already warns that use the AirTag for malicious tracking may violate laws in many countries around the world. Indeed, if a person thinks he is the victim of one of these surveillances, he can contact the security forces and they will require information on the owner of the accessory, as mentioned in the previous message.
Two new options have also been included: Customize notifications Locate and Customize tracking notifications. However, both options, when pressed, are sent to the Find My notification section. It is likely that in the fifth beta of iOS 15.4, Apple will include tracking notification customization options that will be in full development.
Apple’s goal is none other than introduce more anti-tracking measures by the end of the year with the aim of making the AirTag a more secure accessory than it already is. Some of these options are precise search for unknown accessories, notification alerts in the form of simultaneous sounds and louder AirTag sounds.
