A final leak has made us rethink Apple’s strategy with the iPhone SE 4. A device that could “take over” the iPhone 16 itself thanks to its economical price combination, latest generation processor and a complete design without frames or Home button.
When we already thought we knew everything about the iPhone SE 4, Apple could surprise us this next spring with a double release. At least that’s what the latest leaks from Japan lead us to imagine. Apple would give anything to have a bestseller.
An iPhone SE 4 design that will be familiar to us
Japanese blog Macotakara is known for its accurate predictions about Apple products and shared images of some iPhone SE 4 mockups. These photos clearly show that the design will be identical to that of the iPhone 14, with the same notch, the same square back and sides… And yes, of course without the Home button.
We know that the iPhone SE has always reused Apple’s molds and manufacturing lines, and this was going to be no exception. This is also the key to being able to have a lower price.

What we didn’t see coming: an iPhone SE Plus
The real bomb of these models appears with a supposed “Plus” version of the SE 4. Yes, you read correctly. Macotakara suggests Apple could launch a larger variantsimilar to the iPhone 14 Plus. So we would have a size of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches.
Before you get too excited, take this information with a grain of salt. Other major leakers such as Mark Gurman or Ming-Chi Kuo have only talked about an iPhone SE 4 model. They agree on this point. It will be identical to the iPhone 14but it would only be available in one size. In fact, there were even cases that leaked and they still measured 6.1 inches. But who knows if Apple had the well-kept secret.
Features of the iPhone SE 4 that will make it successful
The iPhone SE4 promises to be a real revolution in Apple’s entry level. Rumor has it that he:
- 6.1-inch OLED screen (and 6.7-inch according to Macotakara)
- A18 chip, the same one that the iPhone 16 will have
- Apple Intelligence support
- USB-C port
- A single 48 MP rear camera inherited from the iPhone 15
With a refreshed design, Apple’s latest chip, and full support for Apple Intelligence, the iPhone SE 4 could become one of your best-selling iPhones. Especially because it would a price around 500 dollars, almost half that of the iPhone 16offering a similar experience. Of course, it won’t be the best photo or video experience, it won’t have as modern a finish or Dynamic Island. But for this price it will be the perfect option for many.
Additionally, if we add the Plus option, many users who prefer larger screens and longer battery life would no longer be “forced” to have to buy the iPhone 15 Plus or iPhone 16 Plus currently sold. Even This would help attract more audience from Androidaccustomed to having larger screens.
When will the iPhone SE 4s arrive?
The precise release date remains a mystery, although everything indicates that it will be presented in the spring, you will therefore have to be very attentive between March, April and May.
