Apple could release its new update for iOS 18.2 this week, since last week it released the Release Candidate, presumably the last beta version. But today he surprised us with a new RC which we didn't expect.
DDuring this month of December the new update will arrive for our iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Watch: iOS 18.2 and its corresponding versions for the rest of the platforms. Last week Apple prepared everything for its launch with the Release Candidate version, the latest beta version which should be the same as the final version which reaches all users in public version. However, today it launched a second Release Candidate, not only for the iPhone, but also for the rest of the devices. This new “latest beta” is now available for download for developers.
Why a new RC? probably because have detected significant errors that they wanted to fix before the final version was released. This is something that has already happened on other occasions. Does this mean we won't have a public release this week? It doesn't have to be like that. Apple could continue to launch the final version this week, just a few days after the launch of this latest RC, which is also not new, although uncommon.
