It had been announced that it would arrive with iOS 18, but without confirming the dates. It was already known that it was not in the first public and developer betas. The mainstream indicated that it could be delayed to 2025, but finally has already arrived with the unusual iOS 18.1 beta 1. And we say unusual because, even if it had already been leaked, it is not normal for Apple to launch a beta version of an upcoming version when the previous one is not yet stable.

iOS 18 is expected to officially arrive in September for anyone with an iPhone XS or later. Everyone will get many new features, but not all of them. This first version will not bring Apple Intelligence even to the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, which will be the only ones compatible with this AI (apart from the future iPhone 16).
The fact is that this version, iOS 18.0, has been in developer beta since June and in public beta since July. This will continue until September, but Apple has already released iOS 18.1 for the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max
However, from Apple, they intend provide greater opportunity to receive feedback from Apple Intelligence. This is the key to any beta, in order to find errors and fix them. Therefore, at least for now, th is will be a public beta intended exclusively for developers.
When and how Apple Intelligence will definitely arrive
Stably, it is expected that iOS 18.1 can arrive in mid-Octoberwhich is usually the period when Apple releases the first of its interim system updates. Something like iOS 18.0.1 or iOS 18.0.2 could come sooner, but they would only be to fix specific bugs and bring security fixes.
Once iOS 18.1 arrives, that long-awaited Apple Intelligence will also arrive. Yes, Availability plans remain unchanged. It will continue to be exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max and, at this point, also to the entire iPhone 16 series (barring a major surprise, all will be compatible).
Likewise, it should be only in American English. It is not known whether, as with other features exclusive to the territory, having a US Apple ID will be enough to try it. In any case, we know that it will not be available in Spanish until 2025. In addition, doubts remain about its possibility of reaching Europe, although important steps have been taken recently to achieve this.
