Apple TV + acquires documentary ‘Fathom’, which premieres June 25

Documentaries occupy a significant portion of the percentage of programming offered by Apple TV +, to date. And these allowed the platform to share various topics, most of which were well received by the audience. As for its premieres for the rest of the year, Apple TV + has announced the acquisiti on of the rights to the documentary ‘Fathom’, which will be released on June 25.

Apparently, “Fathom,” which follows Dr Ellen Garland and Dr Michelle Fournet, two scientists focused on the study of humpback whale songs and social communication. Content is produced and photographed by Drew Xanthopoulos.

The first promises to share with viewers hypotheses of innovative experiences in the field, “Fathom” shows passion, curiosity, collaboration, perseverance and the work it takes for leading scientists to make scientific discoveries. This story promises to uncover an interesting glimpse into the giants of the seas:

“As they embark on parallel research journeys around the world, they seek to better understand whale culture and communication. The documentary film uniquely reveals a deep commitment and reverence for the scientific process and the universal human need to seek answers about the world around us. “

This week, Apple also announced a Louis Armstrong documentary, as well as an animated short titled “Blush,” as some of the upcoming shows to be shown in 2021. All of them will be available exclusively from the Apple TV + app. on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac, select smart TVs, set-top boxes, video games and more.
