Pachinko will air on Apple TV+ on March 25!
Apple TV+ users can now enjoy the trailer for the first Korean series announced by the platform, “Pachinko”, based on the acclaimed historical fiction novel of the same name by Min Jin Lee. The launch took place weeks before its world premiere March 25, 2022.
the aperitif of the drama series which will develop in eight episodesfeatures several of the characters tasked with telling the story full of dreams and hopes of a Korean immigrant family across four generations.

As they tell us in the trailer presented this week, the story begins with a forbidden love and culminates in a vast saga that travels between Korea, Japan and the United Statesset during the Japanese occupation of Korea and World War II, to tell an unforgettable story of war and peace, love and loss, triumph and judgment.
In this first look, we get a glimpse of the novel’s protagonist, Sunja, played by both Youn Yuh-Jung and Minha Kim. The clip also features Lee Min-ho’s Koh Hansu and Jin Ha’s Solomon.
“Pachinko” is written and executive produced by Soo Hugh (“The Terror,” “The Killing”), who created the series and serves as showrunner. Kogonada and Justin Chon serve as executive producers and have directed four episodes each, with Kogonada directing the pilot.
As has already happened with other international series premiering on Apple TV+, Pachinko will have the particularity of presenting scenes in several languages; English, Korean and Japanese, and of course scenes have developed on the occasion of these three countries.
Pachinko will premiere with three episodes, followed by new weekly installments every Friday until April 29, 2022.
