Apple could introduce this year the biggest redesign the Apple Watch has ever seen, but that would not be all. Gurman reports many other developments aside from the straighter design similar to the iPhone 12.

It seems that this year the improvements focus on design aspects and that the improvement of the sensors is delayed for some time. Last year, the Apple Watch Series 6 already included a new sensor capable of measuring the level of oxygen in the blood, but this year we may not see any news.
While Gurman doesn’t talk about the flat-sided overhaul that Prosser unveiled, he does say that the screen bezels will be thinner. In addition, Apple will also use a new laminating technique that reduces the space between the screen and the glass. On the other hand, the watch case may be slightly thicker, although that is not something we are going to achieve.
“For this year’s model, Apple tested thinner bezels and a new lamination technique that brings the screen closer to the front bezel. The new watch is likely to be slightly thicker overall, but not in a way that is noticeable to the wearer.“.
