The iPhone SE was born from the need to create a cheaper iPhone with a less current design but retaining the power of an Apple device. For years, Apple offered several iPhone SEs with modest sales but kept a design behind the most modern iPhones and mainly kept the Home button and a screen discreetly smaller than current iPhones. The latest iPhone SE was launched in 2022 and Apple is already working on the iPhone SE 4 with a design similar to the iPhone 14 and without the Home button since the SEs were almost the only devices with this iconic button.
Goodbye Home button! : the iPhone SE 4 will have a design similar to the iPhone 14
There has been talk of the iPhone SE 4 for some time, a device that Apple has been working on for some time and which could see the light of day very soon. As a reminder, remember that the last SE launched dates back to 2022. A device with a 4.7 inch screen with many similarities with the iPhone 8: A15 Bionic chip, Touch ID on the Home button and priced at 529 dollars.
The design of this iPhone is currently obsolete and well outside Apple’s current visual lines which stand out by the top notch, removal of the Home button increasing the screen and reducing the bezels as well as replacing Touch ID with Face ID. All of these features will almost certainly be present in the iPhone SE 4, the next device economic of the big apple.
And we can corroborate it at least with some new renderings published a few hours ago by the site 91mobiles. In these renders we can confirm that the design that Apple likes for the iPhone SE 4 It’s similar to the iPhone 14 with a front notch in which the front and Face ID sensor with which to unlock the terminal. Furthermore, the Home button is permanently removed leaving the bottom edge of the device free of any bezels and turning it into a touchscreen.
In addition, data on the size of the possible iPhone SE 4 is offered: 147.7 x 71.5 x 7.7 mm, compared to 138.4 x 67.3 x 7.3 mm of the current iPhone SE . It therefore emerges an increase in all dimensions compatible with a larger screen of up to 6.1 inches. It is possible that at the hardware level we will also see new features such as the integration of USB-C and a renewed chip.
