Are you going to update to the new version of the system?

Google made official last May the new Wear OS, a new version of its operating system that the company is launching in collaboration with Samsung, which will again use this system in its watches. One of the bad news was that many watches might not get this new version, luckily it looked like the TicWatch Pro 3 wouldn’t suffer the same fate.

Many users have contacted Mobvoi, the firm behind these smartwatches. One of them got what appeared to be a real response from the company, confirming that this TicWatch Pro 3 will have future access to the update

Will the TicWatch Pro 3 receive the new version of Wear OS?

The screenshot above shows how Mobvoi (the firm responsible for TicWatch Pro 3) would respond, confirming that this watch will receive the update to Wear OS 3.0 (the new version of the operating system). No date is mentioned, but at least it seems to be confirmed that the watch will have this update.

But the reality is quite different, because from 9to5Google they contacted Mobvoi about this. The brand claims that not yet confirmed that this watch or other watches of its brand will benefit from this update in the future. They say they have not received any confirmation or announcement from Google on this subject.

These statements do not mean that Mobvoi will not update your TicWatch Pro 3 to this new version of Wear OS. Especially when you consider that this smartwatch is one of the best options that we currently find on the market with the operating system from Google, which could already be seen in its analysis last year. Only for the moment, it is not something confirmed.

We will have to wait for an official announcement to arrive shortly on the watches that will be able to upgrade to this new version of Wear OS, among which we hope to see this TicWatch Pro 3. Google will surely announce this list shortly.
