The #BatteryGate controversy – as it has been popularly dubbed – has caused Apple to address every last detail regarding battery drain in future software releases.
However, even today (with iOS16) there are still many problems with battery life after the release of a new version of the iPhone operating system. This is a very common problem with the inclusion of new software and hardware. Although some users claim that it is due to system errors and bugs.

But there are plenty of other solutions that can help protect your iPhone battery without resorting to such drastic methods.
First of all, it is highly recommended to enable the Screen Time feature and check the battery usage from Settings > Battery. This way, you’ll be able to find out which apps are consuming the most battery and if there’s any background activity that’s contributing to battery drain.
