However, the power also comes from the developers who exploit all the advantages. This is the case of DaVinci Resolve, the famous desktop video editor, whose version for iPadOS is now available on the App Store. One more step to transform the new iPad Pro into a real computer. We will tell you all the news of this application after the jump.

And it is that Blackmagic Design already announced a few months ago that DaVinci Resolve was going to reach iPadOS. And that’s the case. DaVinci Resolve is now available on the App Store only for iPads running iPadOS 16.

The app has been ported almost entirely from its desktop version to iPadOS, as we can see in the App Store images and if you download the app to your iPad.

The company recommends DaVinci Resolve on the iPad Pro M1 or newer models. However, the app is officially compatible with any iPad with iPadOS 16.0 and later

as long as they have a A12 Bionic chip or higher. But if we use one of these devices, some options or functions will not be available. On another side, projects can still be imported and exported under their own .drp extension, which means that we can start an edition on our iPad and finish it on our Mac, for example.

As expected, they work with file formats H.264, H.265, Apple ProRes and Blackmagic RAW. Finally, the application is free but to unlock all the functions included you have to pay a subscription of 114.99 dollars.
