Apple announced at WWDC in 2019 a new HomeKit feature aimed at security cameras: HomeKit Secure Video. Or with Apple's home-use platform it was already possible to see what's happening at home with the Home app, with these faceless users with an iCloud account of 200 GB or higher save 10 days of video and control up to 5 cameras (2 TB coins)
On the market We are already acquiring other affiliate security companies with this new feature, such as Logitech Circle 2 and the one from Netatmo. Another addition to the list is Anker eufyCam 2, which earlier this year has added compatibility with HomeKit and now with HomeKit Secure Video.
Update the firmware to enjoy HomeKit Safe Video
It was the guys working at iMore who realized that eufyCam 2 was already compatible with HomeKit Safe Video. Renewal, which is free, it adds the opportunity to record directly to the Home app what the cameras capture to users with a 200 GB iCloud account or higher, or the recording doesn't take up storage space.
The update is coming automatically to owners. The firmware has a version 2.5.9 version (road change program 1.0.64.20200227), and users can manually look to get the new version available through the eufy Security app. So far, no official statement has been made, either it is unknown that HomeKit Video protected will arrive on eufyCam 2C.
