How do I leave or delete a shared library?
You can leave a shared library at any time. The organizer of a shared library can delete it and when you do, all participants are notified and can choose to keep all items in the shared library in their personal library.
For their part, those who leave a shared library less than 7 days after joining, can only keep the items they have added to it.
Organizers and participants should follow these steps:
- In the Photos app on your Mac, select Photos > Settings and click Shared Library.
- click on Exit Shared Library (if you are a participant) or Delete shared library (if you are the organizer).
Select option keep all which adds all photos from the shared library to your personal library oh the option to only keep what I added. This only adds the photos you’ve added to the shared library to your personal library.
- click on Delete shared library.
- Click Delete Shared Library again to confirm the action.
How long does it take to set up the shared photo library?
Photos will create the shared library, which may take several minutes, depending on how many items you have.
How to view iCloud Shared Photo Library on your Apple TV?
In the Photos app on the Library category in the menu bar, all your still photos, Live Photos, and videos stored in iCloud Photos are visible. In the Albums category in the menu bar, you can see your albums stored in iCloud Photos.
