With tvOS 17, Apple added the ability to make FaceTime calls with the Apple TV 4K. Since the Apple TV 4K does not have a camera, Apple implemented Continuity Camera, which allows the Apple TV 4K to connect to an iPhone and use its camera. This, however, introduced a new problem: what do you do with the iPhone when you make a FaceTime call on Apple TV 4K? Place it under your TV for a book? Do you find it difficult to hold it in your hand while watching your TV? Use double-sided tape and stick your iPhone to the wall above the TV?
Fortunately, Belkin has released a solution to this first-world problem. The new iPhone Stand with MagSafe for Apple TV 4K lets you elegantly place the iPhone in the right place. Compatible with iPhone 12 or later, the stand can be placed on top of your TV, or if your TV sits on a table or entertainment center, it can be placed underneath. It can also be mounted on a wall.
The mount offers a tilt range of -20 to +30 degrees and can hold the iPhone in portrait or landscape mode. The stand is finished metal and includes a two-year warranty.
Priced at $49.99/£49.95, Belkin is currently taking pre-orders for the iPhone Stand with MagSafe for Apple TV 4K, which is scheduled to ship later this month. (UK readers can order from the Apple Store UK) Belkin also makes the iPhone Stand with MagSafe for Mac desktops and displays ($39.99 at the Apple Store) and the iPhone Stand with MagSafe for computers Mac laptops ($29.99 at the Apple Store or Amazon).
