Update – At an event outside of Mobile World Congress organized by Nothing, we were able to see its new inexpensive mobile in person. Like some other new devices (ahem, Samsung Galaxy Ring), the Nothing Phone (2a) was in a display case.
This means that we haven’t been able to touch the new mobile, but it’s enough to be able to see the back of this phone in detail (2a). This is the element that changes the most compared to the two previous generations thanks to this kind of route where the charging coil of the Phone (1) and the Phone (2) was located.
We can see the system of three LEDs around the camera module, the side volume and lock buttons (in a black color which stands out a lot from the rest of the mobile) and a small glimpse of the flat screen.
Original news – There are fewer and fewer left to have all the details of the Nothing Phone (2a). It is expected that on March 5 at 12:30 p.m. Spanish Peninsula time, Let’s get acquainted with the inexpensive cell phone from Nothing which is expected to compete with the Pixel 7a (or the Pixel 8a which is already showing its feet) and other high-end mid-range phones like the Redmi Note 13 Pro+.
Now, as usual in the British company, on its social netw orks They have been heating up the atmosphere for days with the pills of the new device
Maintain the essence of Nothing
We can think that Nothing already has a cheap cell phone called Nothing Phone (1). It is true that with the launch of the Nothing Phone (2) which entered a higher category, the company did not abandon its first mobile phone and it continued to be sold at a very attractive price.
However, it is not a mid-range mobile phone as such, a gap that this Nothing Phone (2a) aims to fill. First of all and It is clear that design is important for the company, and here it is:
In the main image you have and in this GIF where we can see it in full body, you can see that the camera module has changed position compared to the other models and, in addition, We can’t clearly see the charging coil that we had in both phone (1) and phone (2).. We don’t know if this will mean no wireless charging on this model, so we’ll have to keep waiting.
What we have is the LED taillight system. Well more or less. And the fact is that their numbers have been significantly reduced compared to their older brothers, but at least this trademark has been preserved since the first generation.
We haven’t gotten an image of the front yet and, as we said, there are no official features beyond something that remains very important: the SoC and RAM. A few days ago the company confirmed in a message in What the phone (2a) will mount the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Proa modified version of this processor which should offer excellent performance on a daily basis.
Additionally, they claim that this Pro model has been customized between MediaTek and Nothing itself to provide better performance. We will see if this collaboration results in better software/hardware communication. And the SoC will be accompanied by 12 GB of RAM.
For the rest, there are still many rumors, but the official information on the Nothing Phone (2a) is what we have just shared. The good news is that we won’t have to wait too long to get more details, since next week we will know everything about the new terminal.
