One of the rumors that played the most in recent weeks was the one that referred to the possibility that the new iPhone 15, in its highest range, the Pro, does not bring fitness buttons. The idea was that the buttons would be solid state with haptic feedback and therefore this would make the terminal thinner and much more waterproof while being a small design revolution. However, it looks like it’s all gone to shambles as new news indicates it’s more than likely that does not happen, for the moment.
The idea was that in mid-September when Apple put the iPhone 15 Pro on sale, it would no longer have solid-state buttons. In fact, one of the biggest innovations was that the switch that puts the phone in silent mode would be a new button with haptic and configurable response to indicate with one press that the phone was in this state of absolute silence.
However, the new rumors deny all this and indicate that due to technical obstacles, the original idea has become borage water or, what amounts to the same thing, nothing at all. It is assumed that Apple will not launch this iPhone 15 Pro this year with a new design and therefore it will keep the same as the current models and those of previous years. They hint at hardware issues
The rumor was started by one of the most prestigious analysts, Ming Chi Kuo, affirmed, that according to new reports, we will continue in the same way and that there is no expected date to see these changes. As of now, we don’t know if the price will hold up despite these downsides.
Like all rumors we will have to wait to see if they are confirmed, either officially or pending WWDC.
