For days, the illegal Spotify apk came across Android. It is the one that made it possible to access the content of the Premium subscription without paying, so it is illegal. What is surprising is that, among the legal alternatives to use Spotify Premium, other new new ones are emerged, including this time versions compatible with iOS. At least for Europe.
As you may know, in iOS, they have never been able to install applications that do not come from the App Store, which was happening on Android. Since last year, after iOS 17.4, alternative stores to the iPhone have arrived in the European Union. Most of them are reliable and with legal content, but as we saw with a pornographic application last month, others also emerge that They promise to have a free spotify premium on iPhone. And the truth is that it is extremely dangerous. And not only because it is illegal.
He is tempting, but except illegal, it's dangerous
The access to free payment content seems good. Hence the success of offers such as those offered by Apple TV + finally to see its content for free for a limited period. The problem is when you are looking for an indefinite subscription without paying a single euro. This is what hundreds of thousands of users looked for for years on Android for Spotify and therefore the problems started.
We start from the base that The use of alternative applications is illegalWhether it is Spotify or any other. In fact, they are not illegal to offer something free that is paid. The best example of the latter is WhatsApp Plus, a modified version of the WhatsApp for a lifetime and offers Android users some additional personalization functions that do not in the finish application. This modification is illegal and, as such, WhatsApp can bathe the user's account. As with Spotify.
However, The danger is not that he is illegal. Obviously, this is a significant risk to consider and for which it is impossible to recommend the use of modified applications. In any case, what is really problematic is the Origin of these modified applications. They are generally downloaded from dubious trust websites, its developer is generally anonymous and, although they apparently seem to reach their goal, they hide serious threats to the device and the user.
Given the high demand for users wishing to skip application standards such as Spotify, cybercriminals take the opportunity to expose their infected applications by questionable trust stores. Obviously, they do not say it, but malware capable of Access sensitive data stored on the device And take advantage of the vulnerabilities of systems. Consequently, the applications are illegal are even anecdotal, because what matters is the security of the terminal.
The iPhone is not exempt from danger
All this is something that we have more assimilated to Android. Not so much because it is a more precarious than iOS system, but because Apple was characterized by the closure of the App Store and the prevention of browser downloads as this happens in the Google system. However, with the arrival of the DMA to the European Union, Apple was forced last year to allow the installation of applications by other roads.
Thus, we have stores like Setapp, Altstore and even the mythical Aptoid. And although Apple is not behind them, they have certain safety standards. This is not the case with others who are promoted in forums and social networks on the pretext of Offer a “hackeada” version of Spotify to have the bonus without paying. It seems tempting, but as in Android, it's dangerous.
These are not APKs, because it is the format of applications on Android, but they are suitable for iOS. Therefore, if you find a kind of tutorial with which to have this free Spotify version on your iPhone, We recommend that you flee of this one.
Not only because you download illegal content, but because they don't even work so promising. And above all, because you will explain the security of your terminal and your data by giving access to your equipment sensitive to the iPhone to developers who, in general, generally have bad intentions. And it doesn't matter if the excuse is to access free Spotify Premium or another modified application. The danger is hidden in all cases.
