The big problem with telephoto lenses is that they need space for the lenses which receive light from a prism and modify it before reaching the photographic sensor; the larger the lens, the greater the “volume” of the camera array necessarily, because lenses are typically installed vertically, side by side.

ALoP technology allows lenses to be placed horizontallyon top of each other; This allows the light to reach the lenses first, before reaching the prism which reflects it back to the sensor. Although it may seem counterproductive that a design with a vertical structure takes up less space than a horizontal structure, it must be taken into account that the diameter of the lenses is the determining factor of the thickness; In other words, the lenses take up less space horizontally than vertically.
With the confirmation that the Galaxy S25 Slim will launch ALoP technology, everything indicates that it will be the Samsung mobile to take into account for this next 2025; and we may be able to see it soon.
