Thanks to GeForce Now, you can once again play Fortnite from your iPhone or iPad.
Years after its release, Fortnite remains one of the most popular games to release on mobile, PC, and console. Unfortunately for many users, the game is out of reach of the Apple and Google stores, after the endless legal battle between Epic Games and Apple. Fortunately for some, it is again possible to play Fortnite on iPhone and Android thanks to NVIDIA services.
Nvidia recently announced that in collaboration with Epic Games, managed to install touch controls in the GeForce Now service of the first. If you’re unfamiliar with GeForce Now, it’s a cloud service from which you can play many games with the full power of Nvidia’s high-end graphics cards. In fact, this is one of the ways to play at 120 FPS on MacBook Pro, what does it mean? That if you are a mobile player and are part of the GeForce Now service, you can now also play Fortnite from your mobile, without having to download it from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
Join now for free for the chance to play the new version of Fortnite on mobile with touch control, all through the cloud! You can be one of the first to access this limited closed beta to help us test the new streaming experience on iOS Safari and Android mobile devices. The new version of touch control means you can jump in and start playing right away with just the screen and your fingers, without a controller or keyboard/mouse.
The only negative side of the news at the moment is that only available for a limited number of people
Nvidia also made it known that many other games should include touch button interaction. Of course, it will be the developers themselves who will have to add the new feature. If this happens massively, we could see a revolution in the world of mobile gaming, and that is that many users will be able to access AAA games without having the necessary hardware to run it.
Join the waiting list to participate in the closed beta. You do not need to be a GeForce NOW member to participate. Invitations to participate will be limited and beta admission is not guaranteed.
If you want a chance to be part of the beta, you can head over to Nvidia’s website and sign up for a chance to be invited. once you do, you will be part of the waiting list for the closed beta, and if you receive an invitation, Nvidia will notify you via email. Also, in the Google Play Store, you can get the official GeForce Now app and try all the games it offers. In Apple’s case, you’ll need to access through the website using Safari, but that’s not too much of a problem.
