If you have an account with Google Pay, be careful because these days you can be pleasantly surprised if you take a look at your balance because Google could have given you free money.
The news comes precisely because there are users who throughout this week have noticed a strange occurrence: their Google Pay account had a balance in their favor thanks to they had received payments from someone unexpected, from Google. Some threads from Reddit’s Google Pay and Google Pixel testify to this. If there are those who received a few dollars, others claim to have received more than a thousand dollars in different installments.
These are rewards for services provided (even if you did not provide them)
Precisely one of the lucky ones was Android journalist Mishaal Rahman, who on his Twitter account
Some Reddit users have won more than a few hundred dollars!!! A user says he received $1,072. Wtf.https://t.co/por5kQ56Ib

What is it exactly dog food? Action of a company’s personnel to test a preliminary version of software in the test phase provided by the company itself. In return, they receive money for this service. That Google has many products in the market and many others in testing is a fact, but this compensation has been directed to the Google team.
As explained by Android Authority, the reason could be a bug in the app or some kind of confusion that led to these accidental payments. Rahman himself shared this official post from Google:
You received this email because an unwanted cash credit was deposited into your Google Pay account. The issue has since been resolved and, where possible, the credit has been reversed. If we were able to reverse the credit, it will have already been reflected in your account activity. If we couldn’t cancel the credit, the money is yours. No further action is required. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Or what amounts to the same thing: that if you are one of those lucky ones and you spent that money or transferred it to your account before Google could take the appropriate steps to recover it, then the money is yours, since Google won’t ask you to return it.
