It looks like we’ll have to wait a lot longer for Google to launch its first foldable device, as it looks like its Pixel fold it won’t see the light of day next year, just as the source code for the google camera has been scrapped.
The Pixel Fold was set to hit the market in the first half of 2022 with the launch of Android 12L, the version of its operating system suitable for large-screen devices, but according to the latest leak, it appears that Google has canceled the launch of its foldable.

The information comes from Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants and a famous Samsung mobile leaker, who has already given the bad news to all users who expected to have Google’s first foldable.

As confirmed by sources in your supply chain, Google has decided not to market the Pixel Fold. It will not arrive in 2021 as we already knew, but it won’t happen in the first half of 2022 either.
Sources report that Google thought the product was not going to be as competitive as it should be. Apparently, the company did not find it profitable to compete with Samsung in such a small niche market and with such high costs. They also do not plan to initiate a downturn throughout 2022. according to the latest rumors.
It was expected that throughout 2022, Google would launch its own Samsung Galaxy Z3 Fold, since the Pixel Fold was going to share a folding screen made by Samsung.
