Google Lens brings Google Chrome to iOS in its new update

Users accustomed to a certain browser ensure that when they access a device, they use that same browser. Google Chrome It is one of the most used browsers in the world and threw a new update to its app for iOS and iPadOS. It integrates more direct functions related to Calendar and Translate and also integrates Google Lens, an image recognition tool, in the application itself.

Google developers say it openly: with the passage of time the functions of Google Chrome in its desktop version are coming to iOS and iPadOS. And we must not only agree with them but also thank them because the adaptation to Apple’s software is fast, fluid and the results obtained with its new functions improve the user experience.

Google Chrome has been updated to version 114.0.5735.124 and introduced four key new features:

1. Google Maps: When we see an address on any page while browsing, when we click on it, we can access an in-app map. In other words, we will not leave Chrome and access Maps, but a map will be displayed in the browser that we can then open in large format in the corresponding application. A feature that will increase productivity and efficiency users.
2. Calendar: something similar happens with the Google Calendar app. When we see a day and date in Chrome, with a single click we can add the event to our Google calendar. Chrome will take care of analyze the web
   and fill in the event details for us.
3. Translate: In-browser language recognition and translation suggestions have been improved. Besides, we can only translate a selected paragraph in this new version.
4. Google lens: and, finally, one of Google’s star tools is Google Lens, an image recognition tool for the moment with the images found by browsing by clicking on them. But Google has already announced that in the coming months we can also use our camera to search for content with the photos we are taking right now or the ones we have saved on the device.
