Google Maps is one of the most popular apps among users in Europe. Google’s app is known to introduce a host of new features, like the COVID-19 data layer, for example. This app is available in many languages, although by default it works in the language you use on your mobile.
Some users may need to change the language of the app at some point, for example if you are using navigation with more people speaking different languages. The new version of Google Maps now allows you to change the language without entering the parameters of it.
How to calibrate the compass on Google Maps: all the ways
If Google Maps is not giving the location correctly, you can calibrate its compass to make it work properly again. These are all the means.
Easily change the language in Google Maps
This new function in the app has been expected for months, in October we started talking about it, but it’s now that it becomes official. By default, Google Maps uses the same language you have on your phone, but some users want to use some apps in other languages. The new version of the navigation application makes this task easier.
A new option called App Language is introduced in the app settings menu, where you can change your language. This menu displays all the languages in which you can use the navigation application on Android. You just need to select the desired language and the application will restart in that language. Here are the steps:
- Open Google Maps on Android.
- Tap your profile picture.
- Go to Settings.
- Go to the Language section of the app.
- Select the desired language.
- Wait for the app to restart.
With these steps, the whole application becomes in this language: the menus of the same, the names of places and also the voice when using navigation in the same will be in the selected language. Anytime you want to change its language on Android, you can do so by following these steps. This feature was available in the web version for a long time, and Android users can now use it as well.
If you want to use this function, you just need to download the new version of the app, already available in the Play Store:
