Having a smartphone and connected all the time means having access to a large number of services, apps and games, but also Find out what's happening in all these areas. In that case we always have welcome notices, something that can be scary depending on the times. Given the many ads that run across multiple phones, is it really useful? Google thinks others don't.
The Google Play Store is not an application that goes through notifications, but warns in a few cases: where there are a few apps to update, where the app is available for pre-registration or if it's out of space for example. And there was something he warned about: apps that were recently updated automatically
Greetings update app notifications
Last December we introduced an error that allegedly blocked notifications from the Google Play Store around newly updated apps. At the time we gave the reasons, advantages and disadvantages of this, although we think they were a particular problem with ads: Periodic errors in Google apps are not surprising. But that was not the case: the company confirmed that it had removed the motu proprio notices already above.
In Android Police also collects user errors for lack of notifications in updated apps. Having been surfing on Reddit for weeks, activity disappeared on Google Play without a trace. And that's not a problem since, as Google confirmed to Android Police itself, it's a solid decision; of course ads will not return to Android. At least as long as there are no major complaints and Google should be corrected.
According to Android police, these were Google's words about notifications:
"The lack of notifications on Google Play for updated apps is a feature, not a mistake."
We don't know what Google understands as a feature, but we think it's an effort remove the best notifications. When we update apps manually we don't need to know when the process ends. Also, when you have automated updates, the most liberating thing is that all tasks are performed quietly interrupt as little as possible. Although there will be users who choose to pay attention to everything that is going on your phone, the desire is for Google to slow down a bit.
