I don't know if the same thing happens to them, but I never needed this widget. If I go get something on the web, I do it directly from Chrome, I don't need a dedicated widget occupying so much space on my home screen. Google Widget evolves and is now more useful than ever
Until now, the Google application search widget has only allowed web research via text, voice or the use of the camera, similar to the Google Lens style. However, the new update of the Google application allows you to use direct access in the widget. This means that we can add Direct access to a tool directly in the widget, to use it much faster. This can be before and after, and therefore the Google widget has won a place on my mobile desktop (not on the main reception screen, but in the second office).
The application allows you to add the following direct access: Translate the text, the search for songs, the climate, translate using the camera, sports, dictionary, activities for studies and finances.
By adding direct access to the translator using the camera, for example, we can quickly translate a sign during a trip with just a touch on the screen.

Now, I just have to touch this button on the widget and point the camera so that, immediately, the mobile translates what the packaging of a product that drew my attention. I can imagine how useful this tool will be during my next trip.
Certain options between direct access is redundant because we have available in other applications or mobile functions. For example, I don't need direct access to the tool to identify the songs, because I can do it with “Roda to search”. I also don't need to access the weather, because I generally have a widget with this information on the home screen. But each user has their own needs and preferencesThere will therefore be those who prefer to have a button to translate the texts directly into this widget and not use the translator's application, for example.
Direct access They are already available on Google Widget from the last update of the applicationversion 16.3.34. In addition, an analysis of the application published by Android Authority guarantees that the application will allow you to add even more direct access to a Drop -Down menu, so we will not be limited to a single additional tool in this widget.
