Google’s next foldable will be the ‘Pixel 9 Pro Fold’ and Taiwan has given us spoilers on its appearance

There are some things that never change, like the fact that everything costs more every year and that Google phones leak again and again before their launch. The latest leak also comes from an official source: Taiwan’s NCC.

Taiwan’s National Communications Commission has certified that the Pixel 9 complies with current regulations and has left us Exclusive photos of all Pixel 9including the upcoming foldable. It won’t be a Google Pixel Fold 2, but a Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Don’t call it Pixel Fold 2, call it Pixel 9 Pro Fold

Google has an avalanche of Pixel 9 prepared for the presentation on August 13. A new Google Pixel 9, Google Pixel 9 Pro and Google Pixel 9 Pro XL are expected, in addition to the foldable. All of them have passed through the NCC in Taiwan, revealing or rather confirming their design compared to previous leaks.

Among them is Google’s second foldable, which apparently It will be called Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold and not Google Pixel Fold 2. It’s a very long name that groups all Pixels in the same generation and in the same formats (one foldable and the rest not), instead of keeping two distinct series.

In addition to the new name, we also have new photos of the foldable, which were already leaked in real photos no less than in February. This leak matches the appearance of the NCC photos, with a completely different camera module and depending on the changes that will also reach the rest of the Pixel 9.

The NCC photos show us the Pixel Fold open and closed and are consistent with the renders created by OnLeaks from February, so there’s not much left to our imagination between now and the August launch. Other details revealed are the model name, GGH2X, the 20.25W fast charging and 4,560mAh battery.

Speaking of fast charging, the NCC also captured the new charger included in box. This charger has a very rounded design and supports 45W fast charging.

To know the specific charging speed of the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold and the rest of the Pixel 9, we will have to wait for the presentation, since the previous data is verified by the certification entity and does not always coincide with what is officially proposed.

The other Google Pixel 9s have also been photographed by the CCN, although the truth is that they are have disclosed a lot Recently, we have already been able to see them from all angles. For example, an unboxing of the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL was leaked in advance on TikTok.
