The launch of the public beta of iOS 17 took place recently, and in Actualidad iPhone we do not want you to miss the opportunity to install this new beta, and of course, to know in depth what all the novelties are new firmware for your iPhone and iPad.
If you have decided to install the iOS 17 public beta, these are the new features you should try as soon as possible to use your iPhone like a real “Pro”. So forget about it, come in and find out how you can install the public beta and of course what fantastic things it has prepared for you.
Standby
It seemed to me one of the most relevant functions of iOS 17, It is thanks to this function that our iPhone will gain integers as a more useful and efficient device, allowing us to manage simple tasks such as managing HomeKit or a quick glance at notifications.
As you well know, we can customize both the way StandBy shows us content, as well as its capabilities. To do this, we only have to leave our iPhone in a support with Magsafe charging, and when it is blocked it will automatically enter StandBy mode, provided that we have configured its operation through the Settings application, the only question here is: Why didn’t Apple do this sooner?
Poster and contact photo
While it is true that this feature will gain whole numbers when everyone installs iOS 17, it is good that we familiarize ourselves with the contact poster, this way we can share quickly by bringing our iPhone closer to that of our friends and family, a contact greeting card with all our information and a personalized screen that will appear each time we call them.
Without a doubt, this seems to me to be one of the most interesting features of iOS 17, especially for the use it makes of Memoji, and the different customization options it offers, because sharing is living.
Integrated and interactive widgets
Another one of those functions that we cannot understand why Apple has not integrated before. From now on, Widgets will be richer and more interactive. As a sample, the Home Widget application, now it will not only show us information and direct us, worth the redundancy, to the Home application, but we will be able to activate and deactivate all our devices easily and quickly.
Honestly, that’s what all apps want to integrate properly with iOS 17, although obviously it’s going to require processor consumption and therefore battery consumption that maybe not all users are ready to offer in exchange for the performance of certain Widgets. Where we can enjoy it the most, as we said, is in the Home application and in the Music application.
Keyboard and autocorrect improvements
The iOS keyboard lagged behind the competition, that’s a reality as soon as you pick up a high-end Android device with SwiftKey installed. But that’s starting to change, especially with Apple’s well-known mania with the word “beach,” which it insisted on auto-correcting as if it were the name “Olaya.” That ended with iOS 17, and that’s because autocorrect has improved in performance and capabilities.
Now the auto-corrector does this, auto-corrects, and it seems to have learned to work properly in Spanish, something that seemed to cost him a little. The result is faster, smoother, and more efficient writing.
But everything does not end there, and it is now that a tool has been integrated that will allow us to enter passwords, contacts and any type of content in the text box in which we write. This means that we are not subject to iOS’s interpretation of automatic password text boxes, and it will allow us to stay in the same application, so we will save a lot of time.
Photos app improvements
The Photos app has been one of the big beneficiaries of the arrival of iOS 17, and it is that there are many improvements that it has incorporated throughout the development of the aforementioned update.
One of its most interesting features is the ability to identify our pets, just like Artificial Intelligence did with the people and contacts we had on the agenda. You will now be able to create an album or do a quick search for your pet.
The same goes for the integration of quick clipping. Now, when we zoom in on a photo, the option to do a quick crop appears without having to open the editor or perform additional steps. The crop will be saved on the photo itself without diminishing the quality or diminishing the aspect ratio.
We can also create Stickers through the photographs in a very simple way, using the same people mute system that was built into iOS previously.
How to Install iOS 17 Public Beta
We always recommend backing up your device via iCloud or with your computer to ensure that if anything happens during the process, you don’t lose any data.
In addition, I recommend that you do it with our computer (PC or Mac) in case something happens or we want to make a demote to iOS 16, so we won’t lose any information. Once done, follow the steps below:
- you must register for the public beta program (link). By clicking on the ‘Register’ button.
- When we are done, our Apple ID will be registered and we will be able to access the new public betas launched by Apple from any device.
- If you have a device with iOS 16.4 or iPadOS 16.4 Just go to Settings > General > Software Updates and a new tab will appear: Beta updates.
- Click on this section and all the beta versions to which we have access will appear. Click on the one that interests us “iOS 17 Public Beta”, and click on Download and Install.
- The rest of the update looks like a normal update.
