With the powerful Xiaomi 13 Ultra already available in Europe with its exceptional camera, the Chinese manufacturer has just announced the arrival of the beta version of the MIUI update based on Android 14. MIUI 14 is available for a large majority of terminals, although not everyone enjoyed android 13since version 12 was simply used for some.
Android 14 has been around for months now for developers, aside from the announcement that was made at Google I/O to show off some of its capabilities. In these months to come Android makers are already starting beta testing
Xiaomi has announced the MIUI beta based on Android 14 for three of its most famous jewels. According to the official announcement made by the Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi is looking for testers to install the software on these three mobile phones: Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 12T. What is surprising is that the company’s latest flagship, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, does not appear anywhere.
Another that is not at the event is the Xiaomi 12T Pro, so the Chinese brand will know why there are only three mobiles that can take advantage of the MIUI beta version based on Android 14. The MIUI update 14.1 is expected that it arrives in its stable version at the end
Indeed, according to Gizmochina, only 2,000 users will be allowed the beta test based on Android 14. What is curious is that the same manufacturer warns these potential users that if they have a problem with the device, such as not being able to turn it on, they must go to a local Xiaomi service center. This beta phase of MIUI is available for everyone who has an international ROM of the devices.
Thus, those who have European versions will have to wait for a next batch of the beta to take advantage of the virtues and advantages of Android 14. To know the ROM version on a Xiaomi mobile, just you have to go to the settings and to the “About” section to check whether you are dealing with an international compilation or not. This new update will be similar in concept to MIUI 14. Meaning that although it is called MIUI 15, both will be based on new and old versions of Android, 13 or 14.
