Google improves GPS in cities
The company used the 3D mapping of buildings from Google Maps, GPS measurements and machine learning. In this way, a kind of module was created within the Google Play services to correct the accuracy of the measurements of your location in the city, so that it shows your actual position at that precise moment. For this to work, Google services will need to download 3D data of buildings in your city.
