HomePod already recognizes your voice in Europe

With the latest betas for iOS 15.2 for iPhone and HomePod voice recognition finally arrives in Europe, so that the Apple speaker already knows who it is for and responds based on who is making the request.

Apple has promised that voice recognition will reach the HomePod before the end of the year for all countries where its smart speaker is sold. It’s been over a year since it arrived in the United States and other English speaking countries, and it was about time that we could use it in other countries as well. Well, the wait is about to end because as you can see from the screenshots I posted in the header of the article, it can now be activated, at least by Europe. Of course, you need to have iOS 15.2 and the HomePods also updated to version 15.2, which is currently in beta.

With voice recognition the HomePod can recognize you and tell you your calendar appointments, or recommend music according to your taste

, because it will already differentiate depending on who is talking to you, as long as the account is added in the Home app. This way your children’s Trap and Reggaetón will not be mixed up with your list of favorites, a delight for our ears. To enable voice recognition on HomePod, you need to go to your Home settings and turn on voice recognition. With it, you can also activate personal requests and update your music library.

At this time, we don’t know when iOS 15.2 will release for iPhone, iPad, and HomePod. The third beta was released just a few days ago, and a minor update to iOS 15.1.1 released today to fix some call problems on iPhone 12 and 13. Probably in early December, the final version will be ready and can be installed on all devices.
